Our fantastic Archivist, Jane Fowler, has dug out some fascinating recordings of the John Cage and Merce Cunningham Summer Residency from 1980, which – thanks to Ronen Kozokaro – we have digitised and added to our online media streaming service, Trinity Laban eStream.

The Cage & Cunningham Residency occurred in July 1980 at the Laban Centre in Laurie Grove, and featured lectures, panel discussions and performances during its weeklong duration.

We’re very excited to make these recordings available on Trinity Laban eStream, and have digitised 13 recordings – including an audio recording of John Cage and Merce Cunningham’s performance of A Dialogue, as well as John Cage’s lecture on Music For Dance, and video recordings of the end of the residency performances.
