Brighton-based choreographer and performer, Theo Clinkard, performed Trisha Brown’s iconic solo Accumulation (1971), followed by Theo’s group choreography, Ordinary Courage. Accumulation finds the extraordinary in the everyday and challenges existing perceptions of performance through the simple device of adding one gesture to another and repeating the phase with each new movement. Ordinary Courage uses rousing and eloquent dance to examine the nature of loss and a dancer’s capacity to communicate through movement when words aren’t enough.

“Clinkard’s performance of Trisha Brown’s Accumulation (1971) was witty in all the right offbeat ways.” (The Herald Scotland)
